Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do you charge travel time?
A: Travel time generally covers the time and fuel expense incurred in getting to a job. Travel time is based on mapquest and does not incur extra time due to traffic problems.
Q: What is shopping/design time?
A: This is the time spent gathering plant and other materials needed for install and décor jobs. Plant material is chosen with many factors including health, color, price and size. Purchasing and loading time need to be calculated into the time spent acquiring the material for the client. The Clover Tree Garden Company works quickly and efficiently keeping this cost reasonable.
Q: How often should I water my containers?
A: Containers can dry out very quickly. They are very full of plants and the root systems become large and need a good long drink. During the spring and fall seasons, depending on the temperatures, watering once a day to every other day should be sufficient. During the summer months, containers need to be watered every single day. We recommend watering each morning. During heat waves and droughts they should be watered twice a day. Missing a day can severely stress out the container plantings to the point they do not recover. Also, check on containers after a good rain storm and be sure that your container has received sufficient water. Sometimes, roof lines and tree canopies can block the plantings from be watered. Small rain showers are never a significant source of water for the day, and containers should be hand watered to be sure.
